Popular local entertainer DJ Zonzo is facing financial trouble. Allegedly his vehicle was reportedly repossessed over an unpaid loan estimated at around R400,000.
Sources close to the matter claim the DJ borrowed the money in December, allegedly to maintain an expensive lifestyle. The funds were reportedly used for luxury alcohol purchases and to pay mavuso. However, repayment difficulties soon followed.
The lender allegedly took his car which had been used as collateral for the loan. Since then, the DJ is reportedly relying on public transport, including taxis, to get around. The situation is said to have escalated after DJ Zonzo missed several repayment.
The incident has triggered mixed reactions on social media. Some supporters have expressed sympathy and urged privacy during a difficult period.
Others have cautioned against reckless spending and borrowing from loan sharks, warning about the risks involved.
At the time of publishing, DJ Zonzo had not released an official statement to confirm or deny the claims.
