A family-owned poultry business has suffered heavy losses after floodwaters swept through its chicken houses, killing hundreds of birds and destroying feed and equipment.
The owners say the damage has crippled their operations and put jobs at risk. “This is our only source of income,” a family member said. “Recovering will take time and money we don’t have.”
Local residents have called for urgent assistance, warning that small farmers remain vulnerable during severe weather. They urged authorities and disaster agencies to provide relief and support to help the business rebuild.
As clean-up efforts continue, the family is assessing losses and appealing for help to restart production and save what remains of their livelihood.
