The Limpopo Department of Education has officially opened registrations for candidates who want to rewrite selected National Senior Certificate (NSC) subjects in June 2026. The department announced the process through a public notice issued this week.
The opportunity targets candidates who wrote their NSC examinations between 2008 and 2025. Many candidates want to improve their results for further studies, skills training, or employment. As a result, the department has encouraged all eligible applicants to register on time.
Furthermore, officials warned that no late applications will be accepted. Candidates who miss the deadline will not be allowed to sit for the June 2026 examinations. Therefore, early registration remains strongly advised.
For this reason, candidates have been urged to prepare all paperwork in advance. In addition, officials advised applicants to verify their details before submission.
These challenges included personal hardships, financial difficulties, and disruptions in schooling.
However, the department believes education should remain accessible at any stage of life. Through this programme, candidates can correct past setbacks. Consequently, improved results may open doors to universities, colleges, and job opportunities.
In many rural areas, candidates may not receive online updates. As a result, word-of-mouth communication remains important. The department also encouraged parents and guardians to support eligible candidates.
The department said it will communicate further support programmes through official channels.
Candidates can visit their nearest circuit office for more information. They can also follow the department’s official platforms for updates.
