Steve Barker Leaves Stellenbosch FC to Take Over at Simba SC

Steve Barker has been announced as the new head coach of Tanzanian giants Simba SC. The move brings an end to his long and successful spell at Stellenbosch FC.

Simba SC confirmed Barker’s appointment on Tuesday. The club described him as a coach with experience, discipline, and a winning mentality. Barker joins one of Africa’s biggest football institutions, a club known for its passionate supporters and high expectations.

Barker leaves Stellenbosch after building the club into a strong and respected force in South African football. He guided the Cape Winelands side to consistent league finishes and historic cup runs. Under his leadership, Stellenbosch won their first major trophy and qualified for continental competition.

His work at Stellenbosch earned praise across the Premier Soccer League. Many viewed him as one of the most tactically sharp coaches in the country. His departure marks the end of an era for the club.

Stellenbosch FC are yet to announce Barker’s replacement. The club thanked him for his contribution and wished him well in his new role.
